Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify construction and to improve performance by using a transparent body, optical focussing body and an optical fiber having a semispherical base.
CONSTITUTION: At one end of a cylinder a transparent body having a semisphere 1 of the same diameter with said end en bloc, rod lenses 2, optical fibers 3 are prepared. At the semispherical base of the transparent body 1 the rod lenses 2 having optical fibers 3 at the one ends are arranged radially at appropriate intervals centering around the top of the semisphere concentrically. Thereby, when radioactice rays make incidence into the transparent body 1, because the charged particles speed within the transparent body 1 is larger than the photospeed within the transparent body 1, Cherenkov radiation arises, the radiation angle is changed according to the charged particle speed, the fluorescence is focussed on the fixed rod linses 2 to be directly transferred to the measuring apparatus body through the optical fibers 3 as luminous signals. Consequently electromagnetic induction is not generated, measurement is stabilized as well as the structure concerned can be made light and small.
