Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture clad metallic plates having no bad seam or no separation at the time of hot rolling with a high workability, by raising bonding power by performing electron beam welding on the peripheral and central parts of the base metal and materials to be piled. CONSTITUTION:Material 2 to be piled is put on base metal 1, and both are tack welded by electron beam welding performed spottedly on each point P under vacuum condition. Then, moving truck, etc., is used and electron beam EB is irradiated vertically making weaving from the surface of material 2, and the section from the surface of material 2 to a specified depth of base metal 1 is fused. At this time, the peripheral parts of base metal 1 and material 2 are welded by moving electron beam EB so that the parts form a closed loop, and the central part is welded so that it forms a grid with a specified pitch. The laminated metal plate thus obtained is hot rolled and the seam between base metal 1 and material 2 is fitted to form one body, and a clad metallic plate having required specification is made.
