Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an accurate detecting method for liquid metal level for which an influence of temperature and others is compensated by dividing level detecting secondary coils and temperature compensating secondary coils into a given number and scanning adjacent coils in sequence.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided detecting secondary coils 7-1W7-6 wound in division to given number between markers IWV on a primary coil 6 of a level detecting coil 3 and temperature compensating coils 9-1W9-6 correspondingly to the detecting secondary coils on a temperature compensating primary coil 8 excited similarly to the level detecting primary coil 6. Each detecting secondary coil is scanned in sequence by connecting independent and adjacent two detecting secondary soils in series or parallel, outputs working at different scanning are compared, thereby detecting the liquid metal level having reached a boundary of adjacent detecting secondary coils. Thus an accurate detection for the liquid metal level for which an influence of temperature and others is compensated can be secured by detecting the level of liquid metal between adjacent boundaries on the basis of boundary position obtained as above.
