Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve a printing speed by a method wherein discharge dots for the printing head of the serial printer are arranged in a two-dimensional matrix type and the individual row of a letter pattern is printed.
CONSTITUTION: The letter pattern formed on a printing paper is arranged into the two-dimensional matrix type by the discharge dots constituted on the printing head 6 due to the effect of a discharge dot holder 12 and the flat cables 13 for signaling. Here, a head driving amplifier is connected before the flat cables 13 for signaling and a printing head control circuit is provided between a latter generator controlled by the amplifier and a line buffer. Accordingly, three rows five dots are inputted into the printing head circuit and the printing of one letter is effected in two times printing operation by the control circuit thereof, further, a part of the neighboring letter pattern may be printed by the control circuit.
