Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive an effective recovery of the wave force energy by a method wherein a lever at its end is rotatably coupled to the upper end of a strut through an energy absorbing mechanism, and the other end thereof is rotatably coupled to a position apart from a center of pillar floating body.
CONSTITUTION: Waves made on a water surface cause the lever 3 to be moved rotatably relative to the strut 1 and floating body 2 and a relative angle between those members to be fluctuated. However, in spite of such a fluctuation, the distance between the coupled parts 5, 6 is kept constant, and since the coupled part 5 is selected to be set at the position kept distance in corresponding degree from the center of a water line width in the floating body 2, a working force required for driving the energy absorbing mechanism 4 contributes not only as a damping force against pitching of the floating body 2 but also as damping moment against the rolling
