Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled homogeneous rubber having excellent kneadability, by a method wherein a mixt. composed of a rubber latex, carbon black and an anionic water-soluble high-molecular compd. is introduced into an aq. soln. contg. a cationic high-molecular compd. or a cationic surfactant to cause coacervation, whereby rubber particles contg. carbon black are separated, an emulsion of a synthetic resin is added to the rubber particles, and the mixt. is dehydrated and dried.
CONSTITUTION: An anionic or a nonionic rubber latex (A), 20W100wt% [based on the dry weight of (A)] carbon black (B), and 0.1W10wt% [based on the combined amount of the dry weight of (A) and (B)] anionic water-soluble high- molecualr compd. (C) are mixed together. This mixed liquid is introduced into an aq. soln. contg. 0.1W10wt% [based on the combined amount of the dry weight of (A) and (B)] cationic high-molecular compd. or a cationic surfactant, in an oxidizing atmosphere to cause coacervation, whereby rubber particles contg. carbon black are separated from the mixed liquid. Then 1W50wt% [based on the combined amount of the dry weight of (A) and (B)] synthetic resin having a glass transition temp. of not lower than 30°C in the form of an emulsion is mixed with the rubber particles. The mixt. is dehydrated and dried to obtain the desired powered rubber.
