Abstract

PURPOSE: To vary only a temperature without varying an air flow rate by a method wherein PTC honeycomb heater is arranged in an air passage in the guide case in such a manner as the heater may be inclined with respect to the air passage and rotatably installed.
CONSTITUTION: In the air passage 3 of the guide case 2 for use in guiding air having an air inlet 4 and an air outlet 5 is rotatably arranged PTC honeycomb heater 6 which is composed of a porous plate made of semiconductor having a positive thermo resistance characteristic. When the heater 6 is positioned perpendicular to the air passage 3, all the air is passed in the heater 6 as it is, so that its full volume may be heated. An inclination of the heater 6 by an angle of 45° causes the air flow to be separated into one flowing in the heater 6 and the other flowing in a clearance between the upper part and the lower part. When the heater 6 is made to be parallel with the air passage 3, the air flow is blown out under its cold condition without being passed in the heater 6. In this way, it is possible to vary only a temperature of the air without varying a flow rate of the air.
