Abstract

PURPOSE: To let stable pouring be accomplished rapidly and safely by continuously pressing the pouring chamber until the tapping hole level rises to the pouring molten metal level and lowering the tapping hole level down to a prelevel upon completion of pouring.
CONSTITUTION: Solenoid valves 20, 10 for opening and closing are energized by a control unit 6 and the control pressure to a volume booster 9 is boosted by controlling a booster relay 4. Thereby, the pressure gas is introduced into a molten metal chamber 2 to boost the pressure therein and rise tapping hole level 13b until it contacts the bottom end of a level detecting bar 5. This contact signal causes the throttle mechanism of the relay 14 to stop and fix, thereby letting the secondary pressure of the booster 9 be maintained at the specified value. During this time, pouring is continued and when the pouring is completed, the solenoid valves 20, 10 are de-energized by the completion signal thereof for the short time defined by a timer 21, i.e, for the time until the level 13b lowers down to the prelevel L1, after which they are again energized.
