Abstract
PURPOSE: To dry sludge bu saving installation and expenditure by using a system in which nozzle is provided in the floor of sludge filter bed, where the floor is covered with water-permeable particles, and aeration is performed intermittently through the nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: Sludge is introduced to the filter bed 12 to sediment it, and the blower 15 is operated to close a waste water valve by using the intermittent operation switching valve 14 of the first divided sludge filter bed, send compressed air to the cavity 11 of the bottom, and then perform aeration through the filter layer 16, where compressed air blows out throughout the porous water-permeable layer 9, sand particles are vibrated and fluidized by the rise of bubbles in the upper filter layer 16, sludge adhered to the surfaces of sand particles is separated by the rubbing action of sand particle themselves, and blocking is broken and water permeability is restored. On the other hand, bubbles rising through sludge accelerates even evaporation from the inside of liquid layer. By switching the intermittent operation switching valve 14, opening the waste water valve of the first divided sludge filter bed 12 to the open air, and aerating the second divided filter bed 12, the operation is gradually restored.
