Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a small hole precisely through a magnet and to enhance a yield rate of manhours by machining a flat plate comprising a magnetic material, in an etching process, a small-hole drilling process by laser or electron discharge machining, a washing process, and the like. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate member 4 comprising a magnetic material is obtained by cutting a block of a magnetic material with a wire saw and the like into a flat- plate shape, and grinding both sides of the plate. Then a pattern of magnet is formed by passing a laser light beam and applying a resist 5 comprising a material having large sublimation heat on the plate member 4. After the etching, a through hole 6a is provided in a magnet 6 by, for example, projecting the laser light beam toward the top of the regist 5 on the plate member 4. Then, a bridged portion 4a is removed from the plate member 4, the magnet 6 is removed, and the outer form is ground with the through hole 6a being the reference. Finally, the resist 5 and crashed pieces of the magent which are scattered when the through hole 6a has been provided are washed out, and the magnet 6 with a specified form is obtained.
