Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform safe and efficient diagnosis on automobile by operating both a switch connected between a magnet switch and a battery and a switch and a resistor series circuit connected between the battery and primary coil. CONSTITUTION:When the switch 68 is moved to ON under the condition that the ignition switch 12 is set to OFF, a current from the battery 2 flows in the driving coil 8 and the starter motor 4, and then the switch 10 of the magnet switch 6 turns ON and a high current from the battery 2 flows in the starter motor 4 to crank engine. When the switch 70 is set to ON, then a voltage is applied to the primary coil 22 and an engine revolving number signal and a cylinder valve grouping signal are generated in the lines 58 and 62. Then, the diagnostic circuit 66 makes a diagnosis on the basis these signals.
