Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve startability and rapid room cooling capability of an engine, by providing a compressor, equipped with a displacement variable mechanism, and control means of its displacement in a vehicle air conditioning device and operating the compressor with a small displacement at starting then with a maximum displacement after engagement of a clutch. CONSTITUTION:Under a condition an air conditioning switch 21 is turned ON, when a starter switch 20 is closed, a coil 19b is not electrically conducted for a prescribed time t by the action of a time limit circuit 25, and an electromagnetic clutch 13 is disengaged, then a compressor 12 is not applied as a load at starting of an engine, accordingly the engine can be well started. With the lapse of the prescribed time t, the eletromagnetic clutch 13 is coupled, when the compressor 12 is started, a displacement of the compressor is always in a minimum state. However, if a relay contact 19a is closed, an electric current also flows in a comparator, and a servo motor 17 is rotated forward to increase a net cylinder displacement of the compressor 12. In this case, since the servo motor 17 is rotated on the basis of a signal from the time limit circuit 25, the compressor 12 is surely operated at a maximum displacement for a prescribed time
