Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a phase synchronous oscillator common to demodulate accurately data of plural tracks by providing a phase correction circuit in a frequency divider and by correcting the phase of a reference signal according to different read signals to demodulate data.
CONSTITUTION: An output signal of a frequency N times as high as a read signal is generated from phase synchronous oscillator 1-1 synchronously with the read signal from input terminal TN-1 and becomes a reference signal by 1/N frequency division in frequency divider 2-1 and is applied to data discrimination circuit 3-1, thus demodulating the read signal. The oscillation output of this oscillator 1-1 is applied to frequency divider 5 of frequency divider 4 with phase correction circuit also, and wind pulses are formed by wind pulse generator 7 on a basis of the frequency division output and the read signal from input terminal TN-1, and frequency divider 5 is reset through phase extraction circuit 8 for agreement of read pulses. As a result, frequency divider 5 generates a reference signal corrected according to the phase of the read signal from terminal TN-1, so that the phase synchronous oscillator can be used for every track commonly to demodulate accurately signals from respective tracks.
