Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable an overflow amount of water to be automatically controlled according to a water level of a reservoir, by moving a body, which rotates in accordance with rising an falling of a float of a reservoir, in synchronism with opening and closing of a gate.
CONSTITUTION: When a float 6 is raised as a result of a water level 7 at the upstream side rising, the movement of a rope 8 causes rotating of a functioning object 10, a valve poppet 20 parting from a valve port. This causes an oil in a cylinder 3 to return to an oil tank 17. Thus, a gate 1 falls down gradually by dint of the water pressure, and thereby water at the upstream side overflows the upper end of the gate 1. When the gate 1 starts to fall down, a sprocket 23 and a male screw 13 turn through the working of an endless chain 24, the functioning object 10 moving in the opposite direction to a mechanical valve 15. This causes the valve poppet 20 to close the valve port. As a result, the oil in the cylinder 3 stops flowing out, which results in stopping the gate 1 at a present position. In the case of the gate 1 being raised from the fallen position thereof, the oil is fed into the cylinder 3 through the working of a hydraulic pump 27.
