Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:Amidine or guanidine compound of formula I [X is NH2 or COOH; A is 1W4C alkylene or phenylene; R is a group of formula II or formula III (γ13 are H or lower alkyl], and a water-insoluble carrier bonded with the above compound directly or through a binder.
EXAMPLE: 2-(4-Aminophenoxy)acetamidine hydrochloride.
USE: Enzyme-adsorbing substance and its raw material, having a specific affinity with enzymes, e.g. urokinase, trypsin, kallikrein, etc. Useful for the purification of the above enzymes.
PROCESS: For example, a compound of formula I such as a compound of formula V can be obtained from a compound of formula IV. The compound obtained is then bonded with a water-insoluble carrier (preferably agarose) directly or through a bonding compound to given an enzyme-adsorbing substance.
