Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A peptide compound of formula H-X-Y-OH (X, Y are tyrosine, or arginine; X-Y is a combination of D-and/or L-tyrosine and arginine except L- arginine-L-tyrosine).
EXAMPLE: H-L-Tyr-L-Arg-OH.
USE: Narcotic analgesics. A bio-organic substance which can be bonded to the opiate receptor of the brain, etc. low side effects.
PROCESS: A compound of the formula is obtained by the condensation of tyrosine and arginine, having proper protecting groups by conventional method, e.g. the azide process, followed by the elimination of the protecting groups.
