Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a sucking time length by a method wherein a water sealing vacuum pump is built in so as to incrase exhausting speed.
CONSTITUTION: By the rotation of a pumping impeller 3 and an air release impeller 5, part of a liquid within a suction connecting pipe 18 is transferred to a gas-liquid separating chamber 12 through an exhausting outlet, opening a no-return valve 13. The remaining part of the liquid is transferred to an interstage chamber 7 and an air release chamber 8, passing through a vent pipe 8 and an interior peripheral gap 9. Since there occurs an interfacial layer between the liquid and air in the middle of the impeller 3 owing to the centrifugal force of the pumping impeller 3 within a pump casing 2, the liquid becomes a liquid film and rotates in the interstage chamber 7 and the air release chamber 8. Therefore, the vent pipe 8 of the pumping impeller 3 rotates in the air, and the air in the suction piping is sucked, due to the action of the water sealing vacuum pump which consists of the air release impeller 5 and the air release chamber 6, into the interstage chamber 7 and the air release chamber 8 through the vent pipe 8 of the pumping impeller 3, and discharged into the gas-liquid separating chamber 12 through an air release pipe 14 while accompanying a small amount of liquid.
