Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the same effect as the resonator with its length increased relatively and then lower the resonance frequency by inserting the ring-type metal plate into the divided part and thus increasing the width of the wide face of the waveguide along with the decreased wavelength within the waveguide. CONSTITUTION:For the electric waves entered input waveguide 2, only the wave featuring the frequency corresponding to the resonator's length (circumference length of ring) is connected to resonator 4 via coupler 3a. As a result, only wave featuring the fixed frequency decided by the resonator's length is isolated and extracted among the waves composed of a number of frequencies. Then ring-type metal plates 8a and 8b are inserted to the divided part of ring-type resonator 4 in the ring-type branching filter, thus increasing the width of the wide face of the waveguide and decreasing the wavelength within the waveguide.
