Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize the capacity necessary for the memory formed by the difference of the connection array between the reading and recording devices by generating the address of the main memory in which the picture information is stored in accordance with the position of the picture device and also securing the memory region for the new picture information.

CONSTITUTION: The picture elements sent via signal lines 214-1W214-5 are converted parallel by shift registers 219-1W219-5 and then stored in main memory 221. And then the picture element signals read out of memory 221 are memorized every bit and via latch registers 222-1W222-5, and the output are converted parallel by shift registers 223-1W223-5 with the output supplied to the picture memory device. Then address generator 227 is provided to decide the address of memory 221 into which the picture signal should be stored, and the address generated by generator 227 is decided by the contents of line counter 225 and latch scanner 224. Furthermore, the memory position of memory 221 is designated in detail by the output of block counter 226, thus securing the memory region for the new picture information.
