Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a nozzle with the desired tapered angle excellently reproducible in a mass production shape by a mechanism wherein a small tube in thermal softening substance is vertically maintained, a circular heating body is concentrically arranged and both relative locations are adjusted.
CONSTITUTION: Illumination light by means of a light source 11 is irradiated onto an upper surface of a transparent blank tube in thermal softening substance such as a Pyrex small tube 14 through a lens 12 and a prism 13. The light is transmitted up to a lower end 15 while repeating total reflection in a blank. The light is image-formed on a pickup tube 18, such as, a CCD, etc. through a prism 16 and a lens 17, and magnified on a monitor TV 19, and its form can be observed. Relative locations between a small tube 2 and a circular heating body 4 are adjusted by the observation, a taper angle of a nozzle is controlled, and a diameter of a nozzle hole is precisely controlled. When setting conditions, nozzles with the same shape can be formed excellently reproducible.
