PURPOSE:To detect speed distortion of a start-stop signal by generating an odd number of pulses in a unit period, and then by comparing a count value, obtained by accumulating comparison values between the center pulse and next significant moment pulse, with a set value. CONSTITUTION:This system consists of a start element detector, timer, pulse generator, counter, etc. The eighth pulse in a string of fifteen pulses generated by a pulse generator in every unit period is regarded as the center pulse and the 3rd element makes the timer output center pulse Pc1. From this point until the counter receives next significant moment detection pulse Pd, pulses are con tinuously counted and the count value is outputted to a subtracter. On every input, the subtracter subtracts ''8'' from the count value and accumulates the result.
