Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically control oscillating frequency corresponding to load variation and enhance efficiency by sensing load current, by oscillating a variable-frequency oscillator at a frequency by which the commutation of an inverter is possible when the sensed value is less than a specified value.
CONSTITUTION: In the case electric power is supplied to a tank load circuit 7 by an inverter comprising thyristors, the voltage and the current are sensed and applied to a flip-flop circuit 14 by way of wave-shaping circuits 9 and 11 and differential circuits 12 and 13, respectively, thereby a signal having duty depending on the phase difference of the voltage and the current is obtained and applied to a signal selection circuit 16. On the other hand, the input voltage of the inverter is sensed and compared with the output of a peak sensor 21 in a level comparator 20. The output from the comparator 20 is applied to the selection circuit 16, where 2 signals are selectively applied to a variable frequency oscillator 17, thereby the thyristors are controlled. Therefore, oscillation can be readily made even under the loadless condition and the highest-efficiency operation can be always performed.
