Abstract
PURPOSE:To protect peripheral objects from dust particle deposition by removing charge from uncollected dust particles, a negative discharge generating, particle neutrallizer is provided at the outlet of an electric dust collector consisting of particle charger upstream and particle collector downstream. CONSTITUTION:An electric dust collector consists of particle charger upstream and particle collector downstream. At the outlet of the electric dust collector, discharge electrodes 12 of fine wires and high potential electrodes 13 are provided. The high potential electrodes 13 are fed with high positive voltage and the discharging elctrode fine wires are connected to ground. This causes the small curvature electrodes 12 to generate negative discharge. A variable resistor 18 and a fixed resistor 19 are connected to the charge amount detector 20 in the chamber. The detector 20 finds the amount of particle charge and its signal is sent to the controller 24 to drive the discharge electrode moving device 16 or the vatiable high resistance 18 so that the negative discharge is controlled. Thus, uncollected dust charge is neutralized at optimum discharging condition, eliminating contamination by dust deposition.
