Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the strain in the light output waveform of LED and reduce the rise and fall times by shortening the rise and fall time in the light emission of the LED by parallel connection of the series circuit comprising the coil and the resister to LED. CONSTITUTION:A series circuit comprising a coil 5 and a resister is connected in parallel to the LED 2. By the pulse signal applied to the input terminal, a drive transistor TR3 conducts and the current thereof diverges to the LED2 and the series circuit. The waveform of the current flowing through the series circuit is such that sudden change of the current is blocked at the rise and fall time depending on the inductance of the coil 5. On the other hand, the current to the LED2 is a subtraction of the current flowing through the series circuit from the current through the drive transistor 3. Accordingly, the strain in the light output waveform of the LED can be improved and thus, the rise and fall times can be reduced thereby allowing accurate following of the input signals.
