Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the dust in the air from flowing into head disk assembly HDA by giving the continuous operation only to the electric blower via the power supply curcuit which closes for a fixed time via the timer after cutting off the main power supply. CONSTITUTION:When main power switch 103 is turned on, electric blower 18 turns. And then switch 103 and then driving switch 106 of power relay 105 are turned on each. Thus spindle motor 14 also starts turning to carry out the recording and reproduction via the disk within HDA. When switch 106 is turned off under these conditions, motor 14 stops its turning. And at the same time, timer 107 starts its operation for main power supply switch short-circuit power relay 104 to form the bypass circuit which gives the short-circuit to switch 103. Thus motor 108 continues turning for the timer time of timer 107. As a result, the ventilation is continued within hermetic HDA in which the temperature increased, thus preventing the dust in the air from flowing into HDA owing to the difference of temperatures.
