Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the bundle form body which is superior in tensile strength and modulus of elasticity and is easy to handle by giving twists at the pitch of 50 times or more the circumstibe circle diameter of each layer to each of wires and stranded wires.
CONSTITUTION: Arbitrary number of wires 1 are bundled and one ends thereof are bundled with a socket 2. The other ends are penetrated through the through-holes of an end plate 3 having through-holes to give twists to each strand. Here, the twist amount and twist direction are made indentical within the same layer of the strands 1. To impart twists, the end plate 3 is fixed and the socket 2 is made rotatable, whereby twists are given. The bundle is held in the gentle twisted state in which the twist pitch Pc is 50 times or more the circumscribe circle diameter Dc of the bundle body, tentative restraining is given near the end plate 3 by tapes 6, the entire strands are cut in the position 7 and a socket 4 is mounted, whereby the twisted bundle body is obtained. Since, the twist pitch is large, the defects such as difficulty in winding for the purpose of transportion, etc. as with conventional ones are eliminated.
