Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the detection of partial discharge generated within the closed bus or the like from outside of metal capsules by providing a one-point grounding wire for metal capsules separated in plurality while the grounding lines are connected therebetween with a detection conductor.
CONSTITUTION: An electric connector between metal capsules are opened in a plurality of sections 5 so that no short-circuit occurs between a sheath current of the metal capsules 3 and 4 induced by the bus current to form a loop. A one-point grounding wire 6 is provided for the metal capsules in the sections 5 thus separated open while adjacent grounding wires are bridged thereacross with a detection conductor 18 to which are connected an electromagnetic coupling current detector 7 (an electromagnetic probe), a corona pulse amplifier 8 and a signal converter 9. If the grounding connections 16 are mutually positioned cose to the end of a closed container opening section 5, the detection conductor 18 can be shortened thereby reducing the effect of external noise.
