Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce the colored hot Al dipped steel plates which are colorful and are superior in heat and corrosion resistances by adding a slight amount of the specific surface active agents to the inorganic material paints comprising using alkali silicate as a binder and phosphorus base compounds as a hardener. CONSTITUTION:The inorganic material paints are prepared by adding 0.01 to 2.0 wt% of nonionic or anionic surface active agents to the inorganic material paints composed of alkali silicate expressed by general formula M2O, SiO2 as a binder and phosphorus base compounds such as phosphate, condensed phosphate, etc. as a hardener and freely coloring the same with various pigments. The inorganic material paints thus prepared are coated on hot Al dipped steel plates and are baked and hardened at 150 to 250 deg.C, whereby the colored inorganic material paint films are formed on the plated steel plates. In the formulas, M is alkali metals, -N(ROH)4 or -NH4.
