Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a coating film having excellent corrosion resistance by dipping a metal in an aqueous solution of a film-forming organic high molecular resin containing persulfate ion to thereby deposit high molecular resin on the surface of the metal, then dipping it in a phosphating bath to thereby form a phosphated film on the surface of the metal.
CONSTITUTION: A metal to be coated is dipped in an aqueous film-forming bath containing film-forming organic high molecular resin such as vinyl series, acryl series and epoxy series and persulfate ion of approx. 1W20g/l at pH of approx. 4W8.5 to thereby deposit high molecular resin on the surface of the metal. Then, before the high molecular resin coating is dried or bonded, the metal is dipped in phospheating both such as zinc phosphate and iron phosphate to thereby form a phosphated film on the surface of the metal through undried or unbonded deposited resin coating film, and after the metal is rinsed as required, the deposited resin coating film is dried or bonded.
