Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide clear, hard-to-release marking, by applying the marking agent after the surface temperature of the steel material to be marked is reduced than the critical point of the receiving rate curve of the heat resistant marking agent, when marking the surface of high temperature steel material. CONSTITUTION:When marking the surface of high temperature steel material of about 600-1200 deg.C, after reducing the surface temperature of the steel material to be marked below the critical point of the curve of the receivig rate (the rate at which the agent may remain as mark with respect to the supply amount of the marking agent supplied on the surface to be marked) of the heat resistant marking agent being used, the heat resistant marking agent is deposited. In order to lower the temperature of the surface to be marked, water is injected to the part. In this method, loss of the marking agent may be small, and marking of high quality will clearly remain if the tempeature is raised above the critical point after marking.
