Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress the oscillation of a unneeded wave by stopping the oscillation when the detection output of a detector, which detects resonance power, provided to an external resonator constituting a microwave solid-state oscillator decreases down to less than a fixed value. CONSTITUTION:Between waveguide 4 and reflection terminal 5 coupling with cavity resonator 6, solid-state oscillating element 1 is arranged and a bias voltage or current is supplied to terminal 3 provided to element 1 to make element 1 oscillate via choke 2, thereby supplying its oscillation output from output-terminal 7 to a load. Although a reflection type cavity control oscillator is constituted in this way, coupling part 10 connected to detection diode 9 is further projected into cavity resonator 6 and load resistance 11 is connected to diode 9. As a result, detection voltage VD develops across resistance 11 as far as resonator 6 is oscillating normally, and in case of the oscillation of an unneeded wave, no voltage develops, so that the unneeded wave will be suppressed by lowering the bias voltage.
