Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise a vibration-resisting property and a heat-responding property below 1100°C, by filling a mixed powder of MgO and a prescribed substance of low melting point around a high-temperature thermistor in a metal pipe and treating the mixed powder with heat.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture consisting of 99.5W70% by weight of MgO powder and 0.5W30% by weight of powder of a substance having a low melting point and containing B2O3 is filled around a high-temperature thermistor in a metal pipe. The mixture is sintered at 350W1150°C, thereby manufacturing a temperature sensor in which the high-temperature thermistor is housed in the metal pipe whose one end is closed. The melting point of said substance is preferably 300W1100°C, B2O3 is the best as the substance. According to this constitution, the thermal conductivity is raised and the filled powder is prevented from moving due to vibration. The heat- responding property and vibration-resisting property of the temperature sensor are high.
