Abstract
PURPOSE: In the heat treatment of metal pipe, extreme end of the pipe is sealed and non oxidative gas is charged inside the pipe. By doing so, thermal decomposition of silicon resin can be prevented and luminescence can be maintained.
CONSTITUTION: An insulating material 4 in which magnesia powder and silicon resin are added is charged to a metal pipe 3. Then, sealing the extreme end of the metal pipe, diameter reduction and annealing are effected and after that, the metal pipe 3 is cut in its extreme end so that a terminal 2 is exposed to make sheath heater.
