Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:Derivative of iodopropargyl compound of formula I (R is substituted phenoxy, naphthyloxy, substituted benzyloxy, substituted alkoxy, iodopropargyloxy, cycloalkyloxy, heterocyclic methyloxy, 3-pyridyloxy, halogen-substituted 3-pyridyloxy, or alkenyloxy).
EXAMPLE: 3-p-Bromophenoxycarbonyloxy-1-iodo-1-propyne.
USE: Inexpensive and safe antifungal, antiseptic and antiformic agents showing an excellent protecting effect to various industrial materials and their products, e.g. wooden products.
PROCESS: A compound of formula II is made to react with a compound of formula III or phosgene to give a compound of formula IV. The compound obtained is then made to react with a compound of formula V to give the objective compound of formula I.
