Abstract
PURPOSE:To prepare the title catalyst with high activity and stable property by a method wherein one or more of alumina hydrate or alumina obtained by sintering alumina hydrate and a specific amount of Ni2O3 are mixed and molded, thereafter the obtained molded mixture is sintered. CONSTITUTION:One or two kinds of substance selected from alumina hydrate or alumina obtained by sintering alumina hydrate at below 1000 deg.C and Ni2O3 are mixed and molded to obtain the molded mixture containing 40-90wt% of Ni2O3 as NiO, thereafter the said mixture is sintered to prepare a catalyst. This catalyst is used in order to prepare a fuel gas based on methane by the low temperature steam reforming of hydrocarbon and has high activity and stable property.
