Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the sensitization effect and obtain long life, low cost, easy-to- handle toner, by alternately adsorbing dyes of two or more kinds showing p-type and n-type to an inorganic compound having photo conductivity.
CONSTITUTION: In a photoconductive toner especially using in xerography without requiring photoreceptor, in nontoxic oxide semiconductor, for example, ZnO, TiO2, p-type dye such as rose bengal and n-type dye such as malachite green are used for sensitization porpose. ZnO, TiO2 are n-type semiconductors, and in order to combine in the sequence of n-type semiconductor -p-type dye -n-type dye; n-type semiconductor -n-type dye -p-type dye; ZnO powder or the like is dispersed in ethanol, and one dye is added and mixed and dried, then a next dye is adsorbed similarly to obtain a toner. By using this toner, a clear, fogless image having an excellent sensitivity may be obtained. The dyes may be combined with n-type and p-type three or more kinds alternately, and this process may be similarly applied to p-type semiconductors.
