Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high light sensitivity even for the light of a long wavelength region by using the photoconductive material layer composed of the zink oxide sintered body adsorbed with P type pigments and N type pigments.
CONSTITUTION: Mixture of ZnO powder, glass powder (flux) and organic solvent (e.g., toluene) is coated on the heat-resisting glass plate provided with a SnO2 conductive film on the surface and this is heat-treated to form the sintered layer of ZnO. Next, this is dipped in the mixed solution of P type pigments and N type pigments, after which it is dried, on which is then coated and dried a solution of organic semiconductor such as polyvinyl carbazole to form a semiconductor film, whereby the electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained. Rose Bengale, fluoresceine, erythrosine, etc. are used as the abovementioned P type pigments and Crystal Violet, malachite green, etc. are used for the N type pigments.
