CONSTITUTION:Energized axially by gas pressure in a discharge space 30, a fixed scroll member 24 is pressed against a moving scroll member 23. Then, a seal on a linear contact zone between spiral units 232, 242 is determined according to a radius of a circular track movement of the scroll member 23 or a distance between a main spindle 15 and a crank pin 22 and a pitch of spiral units 232, 242. Since at least one of the scroll members 23, 24 is plated with copper or lead bronze, a wear characteristic of both the scroll members is improved, and a coefficient of friction can be reduced at the same time, thus smoothing a movement of the scroll members.
