Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent generation of dust in loading sulfur flakes with a conveyer, by spraying steam on the matters. CONSTITUTION:Sulfur flakes M transferred by a conveyer 2 pass through No.1 baffle 16, No.2 baffle 30 and No.3 baffle 32 to outlet boards 34, 36 and discharged to a delivery port 14. During this course of loading, steam is injected through spray nozzles 44, 46, 48, 50. This makes most part of sulfur moistened in the first and second chambers 40, 42 to prevent sulfur dust from flying up into the air. Since steam is lighter in weight than air and N2 gas, both chambers 40, 42 are filled with steam and dust, if produced, in the chambers comes in contact with steam and its apparent weight becomes heavier to fall and get mixed with sulfur powder. As a result, sulfur dust cannot float for a long period of time.
