Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of lead wires from windings and to reduce the dimension of a tank by arranging a delta winding at the upper portion and a star winding at the lower portion and connecting two low-voltage windings in series. The two windings are the delta winding employing a plate-shaped winding, and the star winding also employing another plate-shaped winding.
CONSTITUTION: A high-voltage winding 2 is wound around an iron core 1, and a low-voltage winding 3 is wound at the outside the high-voltage winding 2. The low- voltage winding is constituted by split windings comprising a delta winding 3A employing a plate-shaped winding and star winding 3B employing another plate shaped winding. The winding 3A is arranged at the upper portion and the winding 3B is arranged at the lower portion. A lead wire portion u for the line-terminal side of the winding 3B is taken out upward by the use of a spacer 4 and a reinforcing band 5 together with lead-wire portions 6 for the winding 3A. A lead-wire portion x for the neutral point of the winding 3B is taken out downward and connected to the lead-wire portion for the neutral point for other phases. In this constitution, excessive elongation of the lead bars on the core is reduced, thereby the overall size becomes compact.
