Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a heating machine having a rotary body in a heating chamber for rapidly increasing by the rotary shearing effect of the rotary body the temperature of a material passing through a space between the outer surface of the rotary body and the inner surface of the heating chamber, and a spiral projection on that portion of the rotary body which does not face the above-mentioned space, whereby the quality of the material can be improved.
CONSTITUTION: When a material enters a heating machine body 9 to reach the interior of a pressure transfer chamber 9a, the pressure in the chamber 9a is increased by a gear pump 11 to transfer the material into a heating chamber 9b, where the material is forced into a gap 18 defined by a conical outer surface 12a of a rotary body 12 and the inner surface of the heating chamber 9b. The material in the gap 18 is subjected to a shearing opeation by rotary movements of the rotary body 12 so that the temperature of the material is increased. The material is then discharged through a delivery nozzle. Since a spiral projection 12c is provided on that portion 12b of the outer surface of the rotary body which does not face the passage for the material, the material flowing into the portion 12b is never stagnated therein. Thus, the material can be prevented from being thermally deteriorated.
