PURPOSE: To perform the suppression of the temperature rise of an armature coil and the reduction in the frequency of troubles through a simple circuit construction, by utilizing the inductance of the armature coil to return more than a half of braking energy to a power source.
CONSTITUTION: When the output voltage of an electric circuit 14 of a Hall element is not higher than the lower slice level of a Schmidt trigger circuit, the output voltage of a differential amplification circuit 15 is so low that a transistor Tr5 is turned on and an armature current starts increasing. The curve of the increase depends on the DC resistance and inductance of an armature coil 1-1 and a coil 2 and the resistance of a resistor 4. When the output voltage of the circuit 14 exceeds the upper slice level of the Schmidt trigger circuit due to the increase in the armature current, the output voltage of said circuit 15 rises to turn off the transistor Tr5. As a result, magnetic energy stored in the coil 1-1 is released through a DC power source 7a, 7b and a flywheel diode 6 and the armature current decreases gradually. Therefore, the temperature rise of the armature coil is suppressed.
