Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a clear discrimination between broadcast reception time and free-channel time by lowering the level of an output terminal by triggering again the 2nd monostable multivibrator which is very long in metastable time, at the rising part of the output of the 1st monostable multivibrator. CONSTITUTION:A composite video signal is applied to input terminal 1 and led to synchronous separator circuit 2, which separates a horizontal synchronizing signal. Then, the 1st monostable multivibrator 3 is provided which makes use of the output pulse of circuit 2 as a trigger signal, and its metastable time is made a little bit longer than a horizontal scanning period to trigger the multivibrator 3 by every applied trigger pulse. In addition, the 2nd monostable multivibrator 4 is provided which makes use of the output of monostable multivibrator 3 as a trigger signal, its metastable time is extremely elongated; and monostable multivibrator 4 is triggered at the rise of the output of monostable vibrator 3 to lower the level of its output terminal. Consequently, a clear discrimination between broadcast-wave reception time and free-channel time can be made.
