Abstract

CONSTITUTION:Beforehand, suitable silane coupling agents are coated on glass substrates 6a, 6b to form thin films 5 thereon, on which are provided resin films 7 having rubbing grooves in the fixed direction. Here, it is desirable that the silane coupling agents to be used be selected according to the properties of the resins. If, for example, polyimide is to be used as the resin, the use of aminosilane as the coupling agent is desirable.
