Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the yarn ends from being caught with the device, by releasing the yarn ends scraped with a yarn guide member remaining on the spindle side after doffing, and by introducing the ends into an air eddy current zone. CONSTITUTION:The top of the bobbin 27 is held by the chuck 3 and the pirn 25 is taken out of the spindle. The tail end yarn Y1 is unwound from the pirn 25, and wound onto the surface 8 of the spindle blade 18. The nozzle units 5 and yarn guide member 14 are advanced to surround the blade 18, and the compressed air is spplied to form an air eddy current. On withdrawal of the pirn 25, the tail and the lead and yarns Y1 and Y2 are cut to coil around the blade 18. The nozzle units 5 are lifted along the blade 18 to scrape the yarns Y1 and Y2 on the device. The yarns are then shaken down in the air current to lap the yarns around the blade 18.
