Abstract

PURPOSE: A substance soluble in a solvent is incorporated to a high polymer and the mixture is made into pipe-like hollow fibers, followed by treatment with the solvent to produce hollow fibers with capillaries passing through from the wall of fiber to the hollow part, thus having high water-absorption and water-dissipation properties.
CONSTITUTION: (A) a different sbstance capable of being removed by dissolution with a solvent as polyethylene terephthalate is incorporated to (B) a fiber-forming high polymer as nylon 6 and they are made into pipe-like hollow fibers. The resulting hollow fibers in the form of yarns or fabrics are treated with a solvent as an aqueous alkali to remove the different substance, thus producing the objective fibers with capillaries 2 passing through the wall from wall 1 to hollow part 3.
EFFECT: Numberless pinhole cracks are formed on the wall of the hollow fibers to remove closeness and stickiness on skins.
