Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the air leak as well as to enhance both the sound pressure and distortion characteristics by pressure-bonding the soft resin foam possessing the fused film onto the single surface or the upper surface of the substrate cloth. CONSTITUTION:Resin foam 4 composed of the Moltopren or the like is stacked upon substrate cloth 3 which is formed by impregnating the resin such as the phenol or the like into the silk, cotton or other cloth to secure the forming or adhesive properites. Such foam 4 is then put into the metal mold for the heat and pressure processing. Thus cloth 3 is fused to foam 4 to form the domed diaphragm, at the same time film 5 being formed on the surface of foam 4. As a result, the air leak can be reduced greatly to enhance both the sound pressure and distortion properties, thus obtaining a diaphragme featuring the steady quality.
