Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure an easy correction for both the oscillation frequency and the temperature characteristics for the tuning fork type oscillator using the combination of two different modes by providing the weights at several areas of the oscillator. CONSTITUTION:The silver is evaporated to combined tuning fork type crystal oscillator 5 with installation of weights 8 and 9. Oscillator 5 features resonance frequency Fof and Tof due to the flection and twist modes respectively. The temperature characteristics of Fof is deteriorated in case some error is caused to the cut angle and the external measurements of the crystal at the time of mass production. In this connection weight 9 is provided at the fork position of the tuning fork. The fork part touches the node of the resonance, no effect is given to the oscillation displacement to ensure betterment of the temperature characteristics. This, however, causes inevitably some change of the resonance frequency. And to correct this change, weight 8 is provided at the tip part of the oscillator.
