Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the heat shift to the hub for the magnetic disk device which decreases the temperature difference between disks and thus reducing the position shift of the recording track. CONSTITUTION:Heat insulating material 6 is inserted between magnetic disk 10 on the lowest surface and hub 3. Material 6 is formed with the material such as the high-molecular material, ceramics and the like which features much smaller heat conductivity than the aluminum material used normally for the disk. Otherwise, such heat insulating material can also be used that features an extremely small area of the contact part to hub 3 or magnetic disk 1 with the heat conductivity not so small for component 6 itself. In other words, projection 7 is provided to component 6 at the contact part to the contact surface of hub 3. And the number of projection 7 is set to three at least on a circumference of the turning direction of hub 3, thus keeping the steady relative position between disk 1 and hub 3.
