Abstract
PURPOSE:To accelerate non-aging characteristic and improve deep drawability by progressing the growth of recrystal grains during continuous annealing of the extra- mild Al-killed steel plate containing the specific amount of Al and subjecting the same to over aging treatment at the temperature higher than conventional over aging temperatures. CONSTITUTION:The Al-killed steel containing C; 0.004-0.025%, Mn; 0.05- 0.40%, sol.Al; 0.02-0.10% is hot-rolled and is taken up at temperature of 700 deg.C or less. This is subjected to cold rolling by an ordinary method, after which it is heated to temperatures from 750 deg.C or more up to 850 deg.C at temperature raising rates of 10 deg.C/sec.-60 deg.C/sec. in a continuous annealing furnace and is held in said temperatures for 10-120sec. This annealing causes AlN to grow at the grain boundaries. The steel plate is cool to temperatures of 500 deg.C to A1 point at cooling rates of 5- 50 deg.C/sec. and is then subjected to over aging treatment for 1-3min at said temperatures without applying any strain, thence it is cooled down to room temperature at cooling rates of 50 deg.C/sec. or less. During this time, with AlN as nucleus, the deposition of carbides to the grain boundaries is accelerated.
